Spetchley Garden

  • A plantsmans Paradise. Set in lovely countryside east of Worcester on the A422 3 miles from Worcester, the gardens extend over 30 acres complete with lake. Spetchley has belonged to the Berkley family since 1605. The present Mr Berkley's grandmother & her sister the great Edwardian gardener Miss Ellen Willmott, enlarged & enhanced the garden. You will find a vast collection of plants & trees, many of which are rarely found outside of the major botanical gardens. A new garden has been created within the kitchen garden. one part of this garden is Italinate, with covered walkways of Cercis Canadensis, Forest Pansy & Robina Hispida Macrophylla. The other part is a sunken garden with a rill of water & plantings of tender & semi-hardy plants. There is always something of interest throughout the seasons. There is truly a host of golden Daffodils in the Spring
